Hip Preservation Videos

In this video, arthroscopic techniques are used to repair a tear in the gluteus medius. A suture anchor is used to secure the torn tendon back to the bone.

Gluteus Medius Repair

This video demonstrates arthroscopic techniques used to stabilize degenerative labral tearing. Due to the breakdown of the labrum, the tissue was determined to be irreparable. An arthroscopic shaver was used to debride symptomatic and frayed labral tissue.

Labral Debridement

This video demonstrates an arthroscopic labral reconstruction. You will see an allograft (cadaver) tissue anchored to the bone to address labral deficiency.

Labral Reconstruction

This video demonstrates arthroscopic techniques used to repair a torn acetabular labrum. Knotted suture anchors are used to secure the torn labrum back to the acetabulum.

Labral Repair (Knotted)

In this video, arthroscopic techniques are used to repair a tear in the acetabular labrum, address FAI (femoroacetabular impingement), and repair an acetabular rim fracture (an unstable fragment of bone loosely attached to the acetabulum/"socket").

Acetabular Rim Fracture/Os Acetabuli Refixation

In this video you will see identification of an unstable flap of cartilage, decompression of symptomatic FAI, acetabular microfracture, and repair of the acetabular labrum. In this case, knotless suture anchors are used to secure the damaged labrum back to the acetabulum.
